Multi-Site Energy Monitoring

One energy view across your South African sites

MicroSec Helios is designed for organisations that need one view across multiple solar, battery and energy sites. It brings portfolio visibility together with site-level engineering context so technical, operational and management teams can work from the same energy information.

Traditional monitoring follows the manufacturer. Helios follows the customer.

One portfolio view across many facilities

Multi-site estates can contain different equipment generations, manufacturers and operating conditions. Helios is intended to reduce the need to move between separate portals by presenting supported site information in a common management layer.

Portfolio-level energy visibility

  • Compare generation, consumption and energy trends across sites
  • Identify under-performing or abnormal sites for investigation
  • Organise alarms, technical actions and maintenance follow-up
  • Support executive, technical and sustainability reporting
  • Review tariff, cost and savings indicators using available data
  • Maintain a clearer engineering record for each facility

Different users, one energy operating layer

Executives may need concise portfolio performance. Technical teams need alarms, trends and engineering detail. Sustainability teams need reliable reporting. Field teams need workflows and site history. Helios is designed to support these different views without separating the underlying energy context.

Multi-brand and vendor-neutral approach

Where integrations are available, Helios is intended to connect mixed inverter, battery, meter and monitoring ecosystems. This supports portfolios that cannot realistically standardise every site on one manufacturer.

What is needed to assess a multi-site monitoring project?

Prepare a site list with the address, inverter and battery models, existing monitoring platform, available meters and site connectivity. Add the reports each team needs and any recurring faults or gaps in the current data. This allows MicroSec to assess the available integration route and define the monitoring scope before quoting.

Can different inverter brands appear in one portfolio?

A mixed-brand portfolio can be assessed, but support must be confirmed for each site. Data availability, update frequency and permitted controls can differ between manufacturer accounts and local interfaces. A supported connection at one site does not establish compatibility across the whole portfolio.

How should sites be compared fairly?

Compare sites using their installed PV capacity, operating hours, meter coverage and the same reporting period. Missing readings, downtime and changes to site loads need to be identified before interpreting a difference as poor performance.
