Size battery energy and power separately
Battery energy capacity in kWh or MWh describes stored energy. Discharge power determines which loads the battery can support at the same time, subject to the inverter, battery limits and operating conditions. Usable capacity, reserve settings, system losses and recharge requirements all affect the proposed backup duration.
